Subject: feb 2002 creed concert

My first creed concert was Feb. 2002 at the Bradly center in Milwaukee Wisconsin.  It was on valentines day. It was the best Valentines day i've ever had.  The concert was fantastic!  I felt an incredible emotional energy that lasted for weeks after the concert.  Amazingly,  it inspired me to write a poem, which i have dedicated to the band. It's called The  Awakening.

Thoughts echo in our mind

We try to escape but cannot hide

A sweet song fills our hearts with joy

Sometimes an enigma like clouds in the sky

Inner conflicts held inside

They come and go like an obsession out of control

In the darkness, there is sadness

only tears of despair

Life is sometimes a burden to difficult to bare

Our secret pain locked inside with no one to share

Then a beautiful voice, strong like thunder

Unlocks the human spirit and sets us free

An awakening of all that can be

We rise above  and  beyond what the eye can see

Love shines in our hearts and unites us all

In the light we love and inspire

Embrace the light, don't let it go

Feel the warmth of fire burning deep in your soul

With flames so bright

Our hearts open wide

We begin to share all that's inside
