No, Lee, I am not trying to "fool" anyone. If you (or anyone, for that matter) wants to speak negatively of Scott, you are going to keep doing it, just as you have been. Fine. But why would you choose a forum that is set up with the opposite concept in mind to air your gripes about just another human being? How about you get together and form a "What all is wrong with Scott Stapp" Discussion list? Then you can discuss his faults all day long, if you so desire, and noone at all could take issue.
Why can't you give the guy a break? He has encountered all of the same issues in his lifetime that we all have. He is just trying to be himself. So he is an artist, he is still human, with all of the human frailties that come it. Is it his fault that "everyone thinks he's a rock god"? What if, one day, he decided it was more trouble than it was worth and just stopped writing and singing the songs that make us all fans? What if someone scrutinized every move you made and pointed out your every fallibility, weakness and shortcoming? Like I said before, point out his imperfections if you must, but temper them with a few compliments or praise once in awhile, won't you?
"There are aspects of the band and their lives that we dislike.." Yeah, so what? Is their ANYONE'S life that is perfect and has no unlikeable qualities? I don't think so. But please, feel free to continue to point out every single tiny "um" or "uh" and be sure that you continue your undocumented expert analysis of how he cares for his voice and his vocal cords.
