Creed is still coming to the Fargodome, just not on Monday night.
The concert was postponed late Friday afternoon.
A new date and more instructions for ticketholders will be announced Monday, Creed publicist Steve Karas of Wind-Up Records said.
People who bought tickets to the original event should keep them, Fargodome sales and marketing director Sara Granger said. All tickets will be honored on the new concert date.
More than 20,000 people were expected at Monday’s concert.
News reports Friday afternoon said the band’s lead singer, Scott Stapp, was injured in a car accident Friday. Karas would not confirm that information. “I’m not in the position to comment,” he said.
Creed has never played
in Fargo-Moorhead. Monday’s concert would have kicked off the second leg of the band’s United States tour.
“It’s too bad because there would have been two or three days when they could be hanging out in Fargo with everyone,” Karas said. “Now they’ll probably be in town in the middle of the second leg of their tour as opposed to the first day.”
A Florida-based rock band that has sold 22 million albums in its five-year career, Creed scored hits with “My Sacrifice,” “With Arms Wide Open” and “My Own Prison.”

Hey does anybody know why the opening night concert for May 29th was postponed? I've heard that its because there are problems at the concert hall but I've also heard that its because of a car wreck with Scott Stapp (I hope and pray that's just a roomer) I have tickets for the next concert and I dont know if that ones gonna be postponed too. If anybody has any information please let me know
