A basic rule of thumb is : If
you don't know what it does or what it means, then you shouldn't worry about it
or mess with it.
The people that run the list are good
enough that if they see errors coming from you, they can adjust your settings to
compensate.
MIME is Multipurpose Internet Mail
Extensions. MIME provides the ability to transfer non-textual data, such
as graphics, audio and fax. It uses mimencode to encode binary data into
base 64 using a subset of ASCII.
Like I said... if you don't know
what it does or means, then don't let it concern you. Some things are best
left unknown anyway.
