Was just noticing your band suggestions and wanted to add of few for those looking for great tunes. "Incubus, Black Crowes, Blind Melon, Oasis> with most of these you would need to get the CD to listen to the non-radio released tracks, they are awesome.

Hi all at the discussion list
Regarding the matter of getting Brian back into the band, I have many points I’d like to point out.
Yes, Brian’s bass was throbbing and it was great. I have listened to all 3 albums repeatedly and I must admit, Weathered seemed a little different.
Mark is a guitarist, not a bassist.
However, I think that if they let Brian back into the band, there would be a big tension within the group. Mainly from the betrayal they felt when he left the band. That would, as a result, be worse for the band.
By the way, Brian has his own band now. And in my opinion, (notice my opinion) he didn’t fit into Creed, and he sure didn’t drive it.
And I sure hope that they don’t do a “Limp Bizkit” and audition for a new bass player, which I think it quite unlikely anyway because they said they would continue as a 3 piece. Although I heard something about Brett Hestla joining the band if his band Virgos doesn’t work out.

On to the matter of good bands for that cool French Dude.
Some good bands are “Nickelback” – your cousins should’ve heard of them since they’re from Canada, “finger eleven”, “Linkin Park” I think you’ll like since you seem to like pop quite a bit, “Pearl Jam” is another great band as is “Metallica”. “P.O.D” are quite good as well as “Staind” and “silverchair”.
That’s just from the top of my head.
Thanks for reading.
