I was replying to the author of the below block of text, which appears to be you.
 
You are correct in your moderation views, and I normally agree with most of what you post, but what does this say?? "I agree that more on-topic discussion will be facilitated by moderating the list"
 
It's almost a contradiction in one paragraph.

But with all due respect, if I had the choice of talking about various subjects in a bar and taking a beer bottle to the head because I offended someone or chatting about Creed and Creed alone from a prison cell I'd just want to know if the bar in question has Sam Adams or Guiness on tap so I could toss back a couple good cold ones before getting beaned."

Where the hell did THAT come from?  I've been pretty outspoken about not wanting the list moderated. I think you should read that message again....
