Hiding it works just fine....unless they use a wand....then they'll find it.  Also, if you want to be up front on the rail, it's kind of hard to take a picture without one of the security guards seeing you....unless you don't use flash, in which case, unless you have a really great camera, the pics won't turn out anyway.
