Yep, you had to be 18 to begin with (to get in the
pit), and I had to sign a waiver stating that I wouldn't sue them if I got
killed down there. And they TOOK my ticket stub and traded it for a green
plastic bracelet. =( But, I got the setlist =) so I suppose it all
evens out.
Didn't Pine Knob (or whatever they're calling it
now) only have actual seats down front too? I was pregnant with Dustin for
that show, so we opted for lawn tickets on the assumption it'd be a safer place
to be, plus easier exit if it started getting too rowdy for me.
And to consolidate a couple posts... I recall
someone asking about taking kids to shows with them. There were quite a
few younger kids at the Pine Knob show, probably some as young as 5 or 6.
However, I'm not sure I'd recommend taking younger kids - iirc, Days of the New
opened up at that show, and Travis Meeks has a hell of a mouth on him.
(And that's NOT a compliment). I realize that most kids have already heard
that type of language by age 5, but I still wouldn't want to intentionally
subject my five year old to it, personally. Not to mention the massive
number of people who were smoking pot all around - you could almost get high
just trying to breath. I wouldn't mind taking Jayson with me to concerts
when he's older, assuming he and I like the same kind of music (and right now
he's a HUGE Metallica fan, so that part is looking good), but I plan on waiting
a few more years for anything beyond the level of Disney on Ice.

I remember when they banned
GA after the Who incident. I don't know when they opened the stadiums
back up for it. But of all the Creed show's I've been too....the only
one I had seat tickets for was at the Palace here in Detroit. And that's
only because the TM salesclerk was a moron! They had GA floor available
though....Tara was down there! They made you sign a waiver though....if
you were going in the pit!
