Since my hearing has changed a bit from the last Creed concert. They might sound a bit different this round. Other than Quicksand. The album didn't have strong appeal to me. When I got it during it's premiere release. It's a funny thing. Even though the music appeal is why music is enjoyable to me. The bands reaction with the media. Their lifestyle and the way that they interact with the fans and society effect my opinions of bands. I loved Godsmack's first album. Which I bought. Before I even heard what they sounded like. Just because Walmart was playing "big brother" with telling people what they can or cannot buy. I loved the first album. But was not too excited with the follow-up album. With Metallica. I didn't care much for their albums that followed Load. But I liked their earlier songs. Then bought the S&M album and moderately liked it. But when they went with the mp3 thing. There music started to not appeal to me at all. Now with the release of Creed's latest album. I'm not sure why the album does not have great appeal to me. Either it doesn't have the same power as MOP did. Or it is based on things that are more about attitudes of the band and interaction between fans and other listers. I'll have to consider the possibility of my view of Creed's latest effort to be influenced by non-music factors. Then play it with a different mindset.
