Jim, I think I knw what you mean, because I feel like something is missing in this album. I don't know...I think it's because of the lyrics. Scott could do it better. I really can't seem find lyrics there that touch me so much like on "MOP". I feel like Scott is repeating himself sometimes.Not to mention what kind of lyrics "Lullaby" has, you can tell he can't write lyrics like that.Then, the music is different, more optimistic I would say.  Maybe that's why...Right now, had to say, I'm waiting 'til it grows on me.

Now with the release of Creed's latest album. I'm not sure why the album
  does not have great appeal to me. Either it doesn't have the same
power as MOP did. Or it is based on things that are more about attitudes
of the band and interaction between fans and other listers.

I'll have to consider the possibility of my view of Creed's latest
effort to be influenced by non-music factors. Then play it with a
different mindset.
