Brian left the band (or as some people may say, was fired from the band) in August of 2000. They cite personal and professional differences as the reason. A couple of months earlier Brian got them into some trouble when he did a radio interview with a Seattle radio station that asked him about their constant comparison to Pearl Jam. He made some remarks about PJ and that Eddie Vedder wishes he could write like Scott Stapp...well, as much as many people do think this, he shouldn't have said it on a radio interview in Pearl Jam's home town. So, there was a lot of bad press for a while...and that was that. He was taking it easy for a while and now he's formed a new band called Grand LuXx.
