Good call, Agie! I know quite a few people who think the new stuff is junk compared to the old stuff, but I for one couldn't agree more with your assessment. No matter HOW good Master Of Puppets was and is (and make no mistake, folks, I consider only one album better in ALL of metal, and that's Black Sabbath's We Sold Our Soul For Rock N Roll), Metallica would still be exceedingly boring if they never did anything but Master. To me, that's the mark of a truly GREAT band as opposed to a band that just sells lots of "records", and other examples would include the aforementioned Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles (not a huge fan, but they changed the face of rock), Rush, Pink Floyd....there are more, but you get the idea. There aren't many METAL bands that fit the label (for that matter, there aren't many bands that truly fit the METAL label), but Metallica fits both.

BTW, I have heard the Afroman song, and it is pretty hilarious.

I didn't say anything about Metallica, 'cause I knew you will add it:) But that's basically the same thing as with Radiohead. Telling the truth I prefer more Black Album and the more "new" things that this old stuff. But it's because I'm not into that hard metal stuff. And yesterday I was actually arguing with my cousin, who said Metallica isn't good anymore,etc. and he prefers the old stuff.I'm not sure, but if Metallica recorded "Master of Puppets" or anything like that all the time, wouldn't the fans get sick of it or something?In my opinion there is a bunch of kids who just repeat what others say. Most metal freaks say Metallica -as you said- sell out, so the kids agree, 'cause they think if people say it it's right and want to stay cool or something. I know this sounds stupid, but that's how I see it.

Ok, one more thing, anyone heard this song by Afroman called "Because I got high" ??? It's funny as hell! (my opinion of course,lol)
