LOL Jess I like "these screaming
lunatics"! Anyway I think you and Nikki are somewhat right, since some time,
when it comes to pop music I am really trying not to sterotype, trying
to enjoy pop music too. Even though there is just a different way
of enjoying the pop music I would say, more like come on and have
fun!Although I may be wrong here...
And there's a lot of bands,
artists that are just "clones". Everything is the same, the music, one blond
girl or five cute boys and boss of music label thinks it's gonna be good selling
product (yes, product). They are not just a little innovative, or even
don't try to sound different (ok, I admit here, this Mandy Moore song "In my
pocket" sounds pretty interesting as for pop music). No offense to anyone, but
when I watch tv and see another band with 5 boys and it's not BSB and NSYNC I'm
thinking what's going on? Gina gave the example of 98 Degrees and
BSB. I know for those people (artists) performing is like a dream
coming true, but sometimes not everyone who likes to sing CAN sing and I would
agree with you Jess when it comes to Britney (including stripping,LOL,although I
know some like her voice). Just look how many people start their own bands, or
really can sing, but they can't sign a record deal, just because they don't look
cute or the music they play won't sell (don't forget that rock music isn't so
popular in Europe as in the States).
I think it's great Nikki and Jess,
that you both can enjoy different types of music, I'm learning to do this
too...

So are you saying that since your musical mind "grew
up" you could no longer be a fan of "pop" music? Also, do you like
country music? That's music written and performed by truly talented
people as well. In my opinion, it's the fans that give "pop" music a bad
rep. I think that fans of "pop" music are all too often stereotyped
because all you see are these screaming lunatics talking about how cute
some guy's hair looks or
