I don't completely know the answer, but the radio station I listen to said that Scott's inspiration for this song was his son Jagger. It still doesn't really make sense.

OK, I went and listened to the song right now, trying to figure out how in the world in could be about a child, and it just doesn't jive! Maybe the DJ hadn't actually heard the song yet and was making dumb assumptions, as they often do.
