I believe it can be seen literally "hello my friend, we meet again" - simply a song for a friend, (friendship is full of sacrifices too I think). And who can be your friend? Child, God, ex-wife, girlfriend, people from school or work, anyone...you just need to understand it for your own. Dozens of interpretations.Although this idea meeting your friend afterlife is very interesting, at least I don't have problems with understand it perfectly.

I had no idea who exactly wrote what, but I hope someone of us will get a chance to ask them about it! I would say Scott lyrics and Mark (and maybe little Scott) music, like before.

OK Jim, special just for you....a thought provoking question...

What is Scott singing about? What's his sacafice? Did he give someone up? Why? Come on people...let's get creative. Obviously it was someone who loved him ("a perfect love you gave to me"), so what happened?

BTW...I know it says it was written by Tremonti/Stapp, but did Stapp do the lyrics and Mark the music, or did Mark write some of the lyrics and Scott some of the music? Anyone know?
