Hey guys--

Time for another one of Gina's Concert Reviews (TM)!!!!! LOL

Last night I went to the Backstreet Boys concert at Gund Arena in
Cleveland, Ohio. My friend and I had 15th row floor seats, just so y'all
can have an idea of where I viewed their performance from.

They had two opening acts--Krystal and Sisqo. Krystal reminded me of Sara
McLaughlin (sp?) crossed with Christina Aguilera, like her music had
serious elements with a poppy twist. I thought overall she was good. By
the way she has a record out, called Me And My Piano, on KNHBA Records,
which is the record label the Backstreet Boys founded. Sisqo was AWESOME.
He had a flashy onstage presence and DEFINITELY didn't skimp out on the
pyrotechnics. He sang all of his hits from Unleash The Dragon, and a
couple new ones from Return of the Dragon.

When it was finally time for BSB to come on, a giant video screen onstage
showed a video of about 100 asteroids slamming into Earth. It came
complete with EXTREMELY hot and LOUD pyrotechnics. Then BSB came up from
the floor of the stage standing on these hydraulic metal colums, and they
were raised 5 or ten feet in the air on them. They opened up with the
song "Everyone" off their Black and Blue album.

After singing two or three songs, they all went off stage except for
Brian (Littrell). He thanked us for coming etc., and kept making these
cute little facial expressions. All of the boys came onstage individually
and gave their own little, should I call it speech? When A.J. (McLean)
came on, he said, "Thank you all for giving me the time off I needed to
get better. Today marks 77 days sober...thank you so much...I LOVE YOU
ALL!" He was sooooooo pumped to be there, and I think it relieved all the
fans that had been worried about him.

Then they all came back on and sang a lot more stuff, an even mixture
from all three albums. Some of the songs they cut short though, almost
like it was a medley. Also, they sang "America the Beautiful," which I
thought was nice of them. Then they showed this video of of them called
BSB--2050, which was them 50 years from now. It was hilarious. Then they
showed another funny video of them backstage, during which another (tiny)
stage was set up in the back of the arena. They sang a couple songs on
there, including "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely," which they
dedicated to their crew member that died on Flight 11. Then while singing
another song walked across this bridge thing that went right over the
audience. At one point my friend and I were waving at Brian (my FAVE) and
he looked right at us and waved back, and I went nuts and he LAUGHED at
me. LoL. After the bridge thing they got back on the normal stage.

They ended the concert waving American flags and stuff and a LOT of
fireworks. Overall, I would go to another one of their concerts. I've
been a fan for a little more than 6 years, and this was only my FIRST BSB
concert!!!! The friend I was with had been to five or six.

What sucked was that we couldn't bring cameras in. We asked a security
guard why, and he said that terrorist spies could be taking pics of
weaknesses in the building. He also told us at 3:30 in the afternoon
yesterday the bomb squad came in with the canine unit to make sure there
weren't any bombs in the arena. He told us that every last inch of the
place was sniffed by a dog. Also we had to open our purses for the guard
before we could even go inside. A lady in front of us even had to open
the glasses case she had in her purse.

Well, I gotta go. Just wanted to write about it cuz it was so awesome.

Hey Gina! That was an awesome review, I'm glad you had a good time, too bad about not being able to take pics though. Anyway I'm glad to see BSB back out there performing, it was really cool of them to be upfront with the fans about AJ's problem, I also admired how they stuck by him during the whole ordeal.  I've always heard good things about BSB concerts, maybe one day i'll get to go, until then I'll live through you lol
