Creed Name Album, Give Aid

Creed have titled their third album Weathered, and it will be released November 20th. The band has been recording in their native Florida since July with producer John Kurzweg, who worked on the band's debut, 1997's My Own Prison, as well as 1999's Human Clay.

Weathered brings with it big sales expectations, as Human Clay was recently certified Diamond (sales in excess of ten million) by the Recording Industry Association of America (news - web sites).

The success of the album enabled the band to establish the With Arms Wide Open Foundation -- named for one of the album's biggest hits -- which works to foster strong relationships between parents and their children. In light of the recent terrorist attacks in New York, the foundation is donating $50,000 to New Yorkers for Children (NYFC), a non-profit organization that raises funds to support the New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS).

"Everyone at the Foundation is just shocked and saddened, not only by the events of last week, but by what they mean for far too many children." Stapp said. "This is the best way we know of right now to help them. We invite our supporters to join with us, to help us reach out to these children who need our love and financial support."

With Arms Wide Open will also match any contribution made to the organization, up to an additional $50,000. Donations can be made on the Foundation's Web site, www.witharmswideopen.org.
