Since we all have heard that the world is round since our beginnings, it
doesn't seem like such a far-fetched idea to us.  But think about it this
way... if someone went around telling everyone that the universe is
enclosed in a glass marble like in 'Men in Black', and truly believed this,
most people would think he (or she) is pretty nuts..

I believe they might find that idea to be "differerent" yes, but to
consider them "legally" insane due to those thoughts and to find them to be
"legally" insane based upon those thoughts and those thoughts alone would be
nearly impossible!
.
even though there's no way to disprove what that person is saying.  Or what
about

those people who stand around with the signs saying "The end is near" and
who claim the antichrist is walking the earth at this moment?  I personally
find that just a little odd, but who's to say they're not right?

You find it to be odd, but does that make them insane?  Do you think that
someone that is odd is insane now?

It's just one idea, but that one idea is odd enough that some people might
consider

them insane.
And, since killing and eating a person would be considered highly deviant
from normal society, that person would still be considered insane.

Ah, but notice that is a VERY drastic measure taken.  If the person
killed that person and then ate their body, but tried to hide the act, do you
still think that person would be considered to be insane??

They're not making a statement that can be proved or disproved... they're
saying

that they killed and ate someone because it's nutritious.  Well, there are a
lot of other ways to get nutrition, and that's well known.

If someone is TRULY insane, do you think that they truly KNOW of the other
ways to get nutrition or will go by them?  They may be so far gone that they
TRULY believe that is the ONLY way to get nutrition.

Now, if they killed that person because the person was the Antichrist, and
they

could PROVE that, then there might be some basis for refuting the insanity
claim.
