I'm new - bit about myself From: "Lucy Stutz" <Lestutz@AOL.COM> To: <CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM> Date: Fri 17 Aug 2001 19:52:26 EDT |
Hi,
My name is Philip de Bruin. I'm PhilPro on the BB (unless Merlin
deleted my account, which I doubt.). I'm 15 and live in Auckland, New
Zealand. I attend Rangitoto College.
My interests are: console RPGs, PlayStation 2, anime, internet,
music, TV (to an extent), reading novels, going on pointless walks
around the neighbourhood, etc.
How I got into Creed: Back in late '98 I used to watch A LOT more TV
that I do now, including *shudder* the single charts! Well, WTLF was up
there for a long time, and TV ads for MOP kept showing. For course I
was very drawn toward the band, but due to lack of interest in music at
all I forgot about Creed.
Fast forward late '99, HC ads are playing. Thoughts go through my
head such as: "Oh, I remember them! They're cool!" and "that
long-haired dude looked better when he had a beard." (Wasn't until
later I found out Stappy never had a beard.) Of course I was drawn in
even closer to band than I had been the previous year, but the same
reasons as before made me forget them.
Fast forward late Q1 '00, Scream 3 soundtrack and HC ads playing on
the box. I was walking through a department store when I found MOP (and
Matchbox 20: YOSLY for $15NZ, I only listened to it once then forgot
about it) in a bargain bin for $20NZ. I forked over the $35. When I
arrived home I popped the CD into the CD-ROM drive and fired up Winamp
not knowing what to expect. When Torn started playing I was think
"crap!", but I kept listing...
Now, Torn is my fav song. I own the Scream 3 and Faculty soundtracks,
MOP w/ B&T, HC w/ YGO, HC 2CD, and WAWO LE (US import) single. Since
MOP my audio CD collection has grown from 2 to about 60. My tastes vary
from Black Sabbath to Tool, Green Day to Linkin Park.
That's about it really, I hope I enjoy this list.
