Not even close. Because the current state of language in this country is deplorable and, I think, a sign of ignorance and laziness. Nothing more. -----Original Message----- From: Creed Discussion List [mailto:CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM] On Behalf Of Creed - 7M3 - Live Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2001 11:54 PM To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Subject: Re: Multi-lingual signs... Multilanguages The changing language is an interesting concept to add to the proper English debate. I understand that these language deviations are a part of peoples desires to set thierselves apart from the others. sort of a language among thier peers and seperation from things that they rebel against. It is funny to have debates about proper language usage and then talk about bias towards the slang languages. Anyway, I used plenty of slang language in the past. I also violate a lot of English language rules. In regard to language, I guess we need to take these two factors into account. Do we want to speak a language that is in compliance to the grammatical rules that were set up for the language? Or do we want to accept the language as being a reflection of our culture?
