Well, for ME anyway, the pretentiousness was "don't argue with me, i'm a music industry and business major". While I didn't necessarily find it pretentious, it's like putting a cookie directly in front of a 6-year old, and then telling him "Don't eat that chocolate chip cookie". I couldn't resist the temptation!
