AHHH, the light goes on! And yes I TOTALLY agree. Interestingly, I read an article the other day in Entertainment Weekly that said we may be VERY close to the end of the whole "boy/girl pop" movement.

what I mean by that, is do you remember how when the Backstreet Boys came
out, like fifty other boy bands instantly sprang up. When Brittney came
along, Suddenly Christina, Mandy and Jessica come trotting along. Like, it's
a big copy cat thing ya know? It's sickening...
