On a side note, we have discussed
the whole "Pop" thing in the past, and while I personally can't stand the "boy
bands", I have been to a "Pop" concert (Janet Jackson), and it was
awesome. My thoughts are, whether you like the music or not (and I DON'T
particularly like Janet Jackson's music, though it is FAR superior to the "boy
bands", in MY humble opinion), if the performer puts on a good show, it is worth
checking them out REGARDLESS of your musical tastes. For example, my mom
LOVES Ricky Martin (I can't stand him), whereas I LOVE Metallica (mom...well,
she's 50, so...). We have agreed that the next time time Ricky comes to
the Indy area, I will go see the show with her, PROVIDED she goes to Metallica
the next time THEY come around.
