Creed has some very exciting news to
announce to their fans!
Creed recently received a proposal from a group
of fans asking them to participate in a "Creed Fan Fair." The Fair, loosely
based on the annual Country Music Fan Fair, is to be a multi-day event featuring
face-to-face interaction between Creed and their fans. Creed is excited to
participate in this event and will perform two shows during the event - one
electric and one unplugged. The Fan Fair will be held in Creed's hometown of
Orlando immediately following completion of the band's new album (which has the
working title of WEATHERED), tentatively due out late this year.
Several
preliminary ideas are currently under consideration for activities during the
Creed Fan Fair - including a ping-pong tournament where the overall winner will
play Mark Tremonti, a miniature golf tournament where the overall winners will
play Scott Stapp and Scott Phillips, an unplugged intimate performance, an
electric performance featuring the worldwide debut of brand new Creed music from
their new album, and a party featuring performances by four unsigned bands which
will be hand-picked by the members of Creed. Creed will choose one artist per
month (over the next four months) from artists that have been submitted to the
unsigned-artist website www.Bombtrax.com.
This month's selection is Tallahassee's Eric Durrance, aka Big Dismal. (Big
Dismal's four-song ep is also available at www.Bandrags.com.)
Creed is looking
forward to this event and will be making official updates regarding the Creed
Fan Fair at CreedNet (www.creed.com). Stay
tuned for details.
