This one was On-Cue.  Apparently, the guy who owns the little strip mall they're in decided to renew their lease, but not "my" store's... which is unfortunate, since On-Cue just opened up about a year ago, and the other place had been around for 10 years.  Also unfortunate, because "My" store had listening booths, and sold a lot of stuff besides music (incense, candles, beaded curtains, jewelry, posters, T-shirts, videos, Ticketmaster, all that stuff)... and as far as I know, On-Cue doesn't have any of that - maybe Ticketmaster, but since I'm boycotting them, I don't know.  The one that got shut down just had more character, if that makes sense...

Tara,

i'm not sure which "company" type store you have in your town, but i heard that tower isn't doing so well and might cease online operations.  Kind of ironic considering the number of indy stores they forced out of the market in the 80s and 90s, don't you think?

I've actually never heard anything by Virgos... the radio stations here aren't real quick on the uptake about playing up and coming bands.  I'm still trying to talk them into adding American Pearl to their playlists.  However, at the Creed concert I was at last year, Brett was covering the bass, since Brian had already left... I was worried that the sound quality of the music would suffer with Brian gone.  Brian is one hell of a bass player, and I wasn't sure if anyone could live up to his talent.  I think that Brett pulled it off quite nicely, though... it takes a lot of talent to be able to jump in and play that well that quickly, in my opinion.  It wasn't quite the same as having Brian there, but my only disappointment was that Brian wasn't there, not that the music suffered greatly from his absence.  I can't even buy a Virgos CD at the moment, since there's no longer a music store in this town that I care to shop at.  (The place I went, a little locally owned store, got shut down by the big "company" type store that moved in, so I refuse to shop at the company place now).
