nah, it's not
"control thyself", it's "conquer thyself" (not
that it would make it any more logical to you, now, would it? or maybe not?)
well, I've explained it some time ago, so I'll just copy my explanation here: 'I
think it says: don't let your "appetite" (meaning sexual desire or any other
kind of desire - which could end up getting you somewhere you don't really want
to be) control you because it's just as if somebody else's desires controlled
you (sort of the slavery-image) and that doesn't appeal to anybody, does
it?'
so, what do you say
now?
<<"Stuff happenened" because the processes were
there for it to happen. Seems obvious enough to me.>>
Go deeper, cause
that's where I was when asking about the "why" behind the evolution. "But
why were there the processes for stuff to happen?" Because there were processes
for processes for stuff to happen - you could answer. And if you ask long
enough, you'll come to the point where you'll be confronted with the ultimate
question: WHY? (sorta the meaning of universal life issue again).
And just in passing,
I find that many people stop in their thinking processes (not meaning
you here.. really) at a certain point where they feel comfortable
and don't go further, which is a very superficial character trait, don't you
think?

wait a minute... what "latest work" are you talking about? You mean, like
there were other works? And you mean like you write them? WOW! now that is
something to be apotheosized for! I like this quotation very much.. It's
definitelly intellectually challenging (as I call it.. hmm.. let me just
copyright this one, just for the security of it...hehe ;-)
Słodkich snów, bez demonów (I think
you'll get this one + it rhymes... how linguistically thoughtfull of me..
hehe)

here's a little something from my
poetry (staying behind your artistic skills is all I want to avoid.. hehe
;-)
"Stubborness of my existence
draws a picture of my tragic destiny,
pours out the spirit given to me,
forgets the whiles I've suffered
just to remind me of the pain
I am bound to face again"
