NCR - (sort of) - sympathy needed
Awwwww Debbi.... *tries to offer
comfort*
You're talking to the queen of breaking
computers... the day I went to the computer store to pick up my computer, their
computer went down as soon as I walked in the door... two weeks later, I'd
managed to screw up my computer beyond all repair... and about three months
after that, I "accidentally" reformatted and lost everything. (I bought my
computer in November 1998).
However, I've learned from my mistakes... when I
broke my computer again around Christmastime, I decided to just wait until I got
my tax refund, so I could buy a CD rewriter and try to back everything up before
reformatting. Everything was still there, and I could see it in DOS, but I
couldn't open it because Windows was competely messed up. Eventually,
Scott and I bought the rewriter, put my hard drive in his computer as a
secondary, and managed to save everything before I reformatted. Yay!
Of course, I'm still trying to put everything back together, but at least it's
all there. *looks at the piles of CDs lying scattered around on the
desk... and the table... and the bookcase... and....*

In my reformat haze a couple of weeks ago, I
lost all my creed graphics and artwork - ugh… now I 've got to collect it all
again - and the stuff I was working on and had finished is gone forever -
which makes the things I actually printed VERY limited edition. Heh.
That'll teach me to (a) not back up and (b)
not store things on the file share instead of the os partition.

Who's not going to bother with the graphics until at least
Wednesday this week.
