Lost faith 2

So, for me, the bottom line of this whole "losing your faith" issue is for what sake you lose your faith, i.e. your intentions. If you lose it to gain true happiness for your soul, then it's ok. But if you lose it for superficial comfort, then it's a great loss and it wasn't worth it. Let me just be more precise here because people do mix up happiness with comfort a lot of times. To be truly happy doesn't exclude being sad, tired and deceived. But it doesn't imply accepting your misery neither. It's just that for true happiness you'll inevitably have to pay a price. And the greater you want your happiness to be the higher the price to pay for it. The price mainly consists out of hard work, discipline, sarcrificing yourself for the sake of others (this is what Jesus did by the way - ok. so this is where you can pin me down: I am a Catholic, can't deny it, but a thinking Catholic - at least this is what I claim..hehe), striving towards perfection, giving unconditional love (as in not the physical love) etc.
