I've been on this list going on three years, and the religious topic comes up on a very regular basis.  Even if you could get every person on this list right now to agree not to talk about religion, there are going to be new people joining, and one of the questions that pops up a lot from new listers is "So is Creed a Christian band or not?"... and that topic almost invariably leads to a religious debate.  At this time, with so little Creed related news (okay, almost none), there's really not much to talk about regarding Creed that hasn't already been discussed.  There are always going to be topics on the list that not everyone likes, and there's always going to be one or two people who try to stop that topic... and whether they succeed or not, the topic is still probably going to come up again in a few months.  I, personally, enjoy religious debate, so this thread doesn't bother me any.  My best suggestion would be to delete any message you get with the subject lines from the religious discussions, and/or make a rule set so they're automatically deleted.  The topic will most likely burn itself out in a week or so, and then there'll be a new main topic of discussion for people to not like.  If we can all make it through til whenever the new album is released, THEN there'll be more Creed-related topics than you'll probably want.  =)

Subject: About all of this religious talk....

I can't seem to figure out what all of this religious chatter is about. It
seems to me that it is becomming a trend to discuss religion, when the true
meaning of this list is to discuss Creed related things. I would love to see
this list revert back to Creed and away from Christianity for a few reasons,
the most viable of them being that Creed is NOT a Christian band. Really,
they are not Christians at all. It is nice that there are Christians out
there that enjoy their music and find it easy to justify listening to them
because their lyrics have some spiritual content, but they are a rock band.
They drink, have sex out of wedlock, and I have heard that at least one of
them is fond of the green stuff(not money!) So why are some of you refusing
to believe that they are not a Christian band? I have enjoyed this list so
far, but I know that if the subject matter continues along these lines, my
tolerence for others beliefs will wither and I will be forced to leave this
list, or worse yet, beging discussing why I am not a christian. I am sure
that many of you would be offended by my opinions, as I am slowly becomming
offended by yours. Can we please put the theology to rest and get back to a
subject we all agree on: Thay Creed is a kick azz band ans we all like them.
It seems to me that we would be better off that way....What do you think?
