Subject: Re: Odp: RE: boy bands Re: scott thoughts(give him a break)I don't think I'm taking it too seriously... because it's my personal opinion, as I emphasized a couple of times. Joking about people dying isn't funny to me, especially when it's for a silly reason like not liking the music the people perform. I may be overly sensitive, but I figure I'm entitled to be. My little sister - a beautiful girl with a brilliant future ahead of her - was killed in a car accident last year, so yeah, I'm a little opposed to joking about people dying, regardless of whether I know them or not. I happen to think that there's way too much cruelty in the world as it is to be contributing any more to it.I can respect your ideas - if I understand them right, you're going with the thought that the absence of hate would in effect mean the absence of love... without a negative, there can't be a positive... right? I think it's human nature to have both emotions... but I also think that being human, we have the ability to show the positive and express the negative in less harmful ways. I also think that if you're going to hate someone enough to wish them dead, it should be for a lot better reason - I think the only way I could hate someone that much is if they were to hurt one of my children.Anyway... the topic is kind of getting away from the Creed related, so I'll end it here, even though I enjoy a good debate. Anyone want to go form a philosophy discussion list as a side to the Creed list? <g>Tara
