RE: NCR: Bike Helmets
Sorry to hear about your loss Gene.  It's always important to stress the importance of bike helmets/seat belts.  You never know when it'll come in handy.
Prayers......

You story just goes to prove that some things are made for a reason.  My girlfriend always wore her seatbelt and the one time she didn't it cost her her life.  She was always after me to wear mine and it took her dying for me to realize how much that they really can help.  Since that day I haven't gotten in a car without putting one on.

So bike helmets and seat belts should always be worn.  They make saftey equipment for a reason.  We aren't indistructable.

Just thought I would share an experience with all of you.  And about the
safety of bike helmets!!!!  Yesterday My husband and our daughter were
out riding there bikes (down at his Grandma's house)  My daughter took
the corner to sharp, hit the curb and fell and hit her head of the
cement!!  Luckly me and my husband always express the importance on a
helmet she never rides anything without it.. Anyways The side of her
face is all scratched up and she has a black eye..  (looks like she's
been in a good fight!!) LOL  We looked at her helmet later and where she
fell her helmet is all scratched up..... Her little knuckles are all
scratched up to..  She is just barely 6 as of april 4!!  I am very
thankfull that she was wearing her helmet because I'm sure if she had
not we would be at the hospital right now....
I just want to remind you all you never know when an accident is going
to happen... So please keep you and your children safe!!!!
Sorry it is so long.  But I thought this was important to share with you
all.
