my son is in middle school, and we have discussed this issue at length...but i worry about him every day...esp now, that it is beginning to affect people that i know...you, and lisa the other week...not that i'm taking a defeatist attitude, but how the hell do you prepare and protect your children anymore? thank god they caught her before she went thru with it...

Subject: Another School Shooting (Planned)

As I was sitting in the Dentist office today I heard them talking about a girl at our local high school who was planning to shoot 5 or 6 classmates. She had already brought the gun and had a list of names and detailed plans for carrying it out tomorrow morning. This high school is new and has everything imaginable for the students protection. Actually at first I thought some of the rules that they had in place were kind of dumb and unconstitutional. I guess there is no way to avoid this kind of thing. Thank goodness my kids are still in elementary school, if it gets any worse I'm going to home school them.
