It was just being used as a description Mr. Nitpick, and it must have been BAD WEED cuz it did SMELL BAD!

Just a little nitpick, but “skunk” weed is usually BAD weed.  There are exceptions, but a better comparison here would be “she was so high she smelled like she had rolled in a pot field”.
