I know I could have used less words, but what fun would that be?  More words equal more confusion for the reader and it means they have to learn to comprehend.  I'm just trying to help them out in the long run.
 
But then again, yours is more quick and to the point and has a certain sting to it.

I imagine that statement would have gotten the point through much better, and something tells me that she would have understood it too.
