You'll have to check with the
venue to verify, but most of the time General Admission is on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
Basically, first to the stage is the one that holds that
spot. They'll print section and seat numbers on GA tickets just for the
purpose of keeping track of sales for that section, to prevent 10,000 GA tickets
getting sold because someone lost count. I would suggest contacting your
venue and assuring that they haven't actually divided the GA into sections (as
some of the lamer venues have been known to do in the past).
If they haven't, or if you
lucked out and got a good section, dress warmly for standing outside, and dress
in layers... also, I suggest against wearing shirts that you can't afford to
loose or have damaged, as you'll be experiencing a lot of close-up sweaty
people, spilled beer, and the occasional person that's convinced they can still
safely smoke in a mosh pit. I would suggest a t-shirt with a long-sleeve
shirt overtop (that you can tie around your waist as the show gets going).
Don't wear anything overly expensive that you can't possibly afford to loose or
have damaged... and any necklaces should be either removed, or tucked inside the
shirt... and keep any money in your front pocket where you can keep better track
of it.
Also, you'll probably find that
the crowd is kind of slack as Virgo's come out... don't let that give you a
false sense of security... the lead singer to Tantric likes to join the crowd,
and they'll surge... go with it, but keep your spot firm if you're on the rail
(grab the rail and hold on tight). There's a good chance that the
movements will bring you to the front or at least closer... oh yeah, and the
guitarist for Tantric likes bodysurfing... watch your head.
;)
Other than that, just enjoy the
show. If you have any other questions, go ahead and mail me.

Subject: GA Tickets
Yea!!!!!!!!!! I'm so
happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally got tickets a week ago to go see
Creed in Chicago on the 13th. This will be my first Creed concert ever,
so I am very excited. I've been wanting to see them live for a long
time, so this is definitely a dream come true for me. I got floor
tickets and they're general admission, but there's still section numbers and
seat numbers listed on them. I don't get to go to concerts that much, so
I was just wondering if I would still be able to get as close to the stage as
possible if I got there early enough even though there's seat numbers listed
on the tickets. If anybody knows, please let me know. Thanks!
