Hugo vs. Scott and what' this? Eddie come out ... From: "Dawn DelliSanti" <CREEDGIRLL@AOL.COM> To: <CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM> Date: Mon 21 Jan 2002 03:50:43 EST |
well, you're literally the first person I've met who has been able to say that without knowing both bands well, you didn't think they sounded alike when you first started listening to either one.
I heard PJ after Creed, believe it or not -- one of the songs from Ten iirc and I immediately knew it wasn't creed but couldn't put my finger on who it was. They sure sounded alike, but the voices were different enough that I could tell it wasn't stapp. But I already owned and was actively listening to MOP and HC at that point. The point I was making earlier tonight is that everyone I've talked to about this who didn't own either band's cds, thought it was the same band after they'd heard the second band for the first time. *depending on the songs they were hearing, of course -- obviously the bands diverge widely if you use the right songs in your example*

The fact is, if you aren't into either band, they do sound alike.
Similar style (depending on the song) and similar voices.
Anyone who listens to the radio and doesn't own a PJ or Creed CD will
make the mistake of thinking they're the same band.
